Today, thanks to Sue Martin, I got the stamp of the month "what a hoot".  So! I finished the card I had been working on and put aside till I had the stamp.

Unfortunately I can't remember what the fold I have used is called.

I have decorated this first card with "Chalk it up" paper, the sentiment is from the "Ivy Lane card making workshop" stamp set.

The flower is made with the owl wing from "What a hoot" stamped with Smoothie ink and coloured with pens.  I also put some glitter radiating out from the centre of the flower.

The leaves are the alternative wing stamped in Pear.  The small flowers on the sides of the card, also stamped in Smoothie, are from SOTM as well.

This card was intended to be a gather make and take but I think it's a little labor intensive for that purpose.  Back to the drawing board tomorrow for another one.

The second card is also for a make and take and is quick and easy to make.  I used brushed papers for this one.  The decorations are done with the September SOTM "Family is forever".

The fold is a crossover pocket card with tag.  There is a small stand on the back that folds flat for posting.

I would like to leave you with this quote.

"Far away there in the sunshine of my highest aspirations. I may not reach them,
but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them,
and try to follow where they lead."

Louisa May Alcott.
